Jon Prosser在回复他早期8月24日Twitter贴文时候，指出了iPhone 12的发布日期。他表示，他是从消息人士那里获得这个消息，而且除了iPhone 12，还提及了iPhone 12 mini和iPhone 12 Max都会在23日正式上架，但iPhone 12 Pro还有iPhone 12 Pro Max则需要等到11月后才会上市。
